MY BIO
Who I am
I am Health and System Management major with a triple minor in Applied Anthropology, Health and Medical Humanities, and Public Health at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. I am currently working as a Resident Advisor on campus and have a part-time job as a Certified Nursing Assistant in Burgaw, North Carolina.
I've had the opportunity to form part of two internship sites within the state of North Carolina. One site was at Pender Memorial Hospital where I shadowed different departments and made networking connections. The other site was a non-profit health outreach program called Manos Unidas in Atkinson, North Carolina which worked with underserved populations in Southeastern North Carolina.

RESEARCH DISCOVERED
Medically Underserved Populations
This research paper focuses on counties that Manos Unidas (a non-profit health outreach program) supports across Southeastern North Carolina. Some information includes the mission of the organization, the counties they serve, and information about MUP's in those particular counties.
Similar to the previous research assessment, this paper focuses on the MUPs located across the United States. More specifically, it focuses on the impacts that MUPs have with the shortage of physicians in their local communities and areas. Solution to these issues are also included in this research assessment.
The research paper focuses on MUPs across the globe and the impacts that these have developing countries have with limited access to medical resources.
